Don't Go Alone is a mentoring program through Project Belong VA that recruits mentors from the church to become a long-term support system for youth aging out of foster care. Currently, Virginia has one of the highest percentages of youth aging out of any state in the country, and we believe God is using this mentoring program to work in their lives. Singles and couples of all ages are encouraged to consider walking alongside of a youth in foster care as they transition into adulthood. Mentors are asked to spend time with their mentee in-person at least once a month. An application packet, background check, and 4 hours of virtual training are required prior to being matched with a mentee.
