This Paint The Town Red project is focused on serving our community’s early risers with complimentary grab-and-go breakfasts and beverages at the VRE Brooke train station. Volunteers will hand out grab and go breakfast items like granola bars and fruit, beverages such as energy drinks, juice, and water, and warm smiles to morning DC commuters, creating a moment of connection and encouragement during their busy routines. The goal is to spread positivity, meet people where they are, and show that even small acts of service can make a big impact on someone’s day.

School secretaries and counselors work summer hours when school is not in session. This serve project will create sunshine baskets with snacks and other items (ChapStick, lotion, hand soap for example) to show love and appreciation to those working in the summer. There will be 8 baskets, one for each middle school in Stafford County.
