Our project will consist of supporting our community partner, American Red Cross, for a blood drive at our Fredericksburg Campus. We will support the ARC team with check-in, refreshments, and other assignments as designated. We will greet those donating, answer questions, help to remove any anxietes and look for opportunities to care, minister and demonstrate the love of God. Tear down and assisting the Red Cross with pack-up will be part of the responsibilities of the afternoon shift.

Fredericksburg

Garrison Woods is Fred North's Adopt-a-Block. We want to continue to love on the neighborhood and have the opportunity to break bread with the parents and the children. I believe this is a community that needs to know that they are loved by God and they matter. The volunteers will arrive between 1-1:30 PM to set up and start cooking the food. Residents will arrive at 2 PM and we will commence at 5 PM. We will also have a prayer station setup for anyone who requests it. In addition, there will be water sports equipment, basketball, jump ropes, soccer, and footballs for the kids. Volunteers will be assigned to prayer, cooking and food distribution, and sports and games.

Fredericksburg

LEADER Helen Hunt DESCRIPTION

Healthy Generations is a community based non profit organization that aides the elderly local community in transportation much like "angel rides" to and from treatment and doctors appointments and the grocery store when home based elders are not able to drive themselves. We would like youth to come out and help by cleaning their vans in order to create a clean and welcoming mode of transportation for our elderly community.

Fredericksburg

LEADER Jo-El Cruz DESCRIPTION

Join us for our Community Oil Change event! On this special day, we’re coming together to serve up to 30 cars in our community, and we need your helping hands. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or you’re just learning the ropes, there’s a place for you here. Volunteers will help with looking up vehicle information, finding the right oil types, and of course, performing the oil changes. Well also need volunteers to spend time with people as they’re waiting to get their oil changed to offer prayer and encouragement! It’s all about coming together, following simple instructions, and making a positive impact. Let’s roll up our sleeves and serve our neighbors together!
