Kisha, a veteran, has been in a long battle with cancer and is trying to keep her faith but every day is a struggle. She has wanted a yard refresh for a long time now but cannot do it herself so we will be doing it for her for free and also praying for healing, peace and encouraging her and supporting her. It’s more than a yard project. It’s God’s people supporting a woman who is in the toughest battle of her life. She served in the Air Force 24 years and moved into her house with breast cancer, then got colorectal cancer. During intensive chemo it spread to lungs, kidney, and more and she has been doing chemo. Va is not able to help very much. Finally, she got in a trial with johnshopkins. So she’s hopeful and keeping the faith and even in a Bible study group, but it is easy to tell she’s tired. She has to drive up to Fairfax all the time for appointments and is in and out of the hospital. She really wants a yard refresh on her property. There’s weeds, big bushes that need to come out all around the house with root removal, mulching and more. She also wants some power washing and a tree removed but unless we can find someone able to do that, we may have to stick with the yard work only. It’s a good long day of work. Likely a full 6-8 hours with a group. I have all of the tools we will need. We need some people who are willing to do the labor and maybe also 1-2 females willing to chat with her and encourage her and pray for her when she does come outside.
